About the Blog
The VideoVoice Collective Blog is a site for sharing our ongoing work in the area of participatory video. We explore a range of topics on participatory media, collective action, and public health.
Our blog contributors are:
Lance Stringham: Lance is interested in Linux, website design, progressive political action, protecting our fair use rights, intellectual property and patent reform, internet spelunking, and just about anything having to do with computers. Lance is a total nerd and hopes to stay that way for as long as he can.
Caricia Catalani: Caricia is a doctoral student at the University of California, Berkeley and Co-Founder of the VideoVoice Collective. She is exploring the public health implications of participatory media practices. She is currently knee-deep in the dissertation process. She blogs about the dissertation process, research epiphanies, and theoretical and practice issues in implementing videovoice methodology. She hopes that this blog can help to keep her on track with the millions of dissertation deadlines and invite feedback from mavens of all walks of life. Caricia is a big public health dreamer and a technophile.
Anthony Veneziale: Anthony is a filmmaker, Associate Artistic Director of Back House Productions, and Co-Founder of the VideoVoice Collective. He is interested in working with communities to produce meaningful documentaries. He blogs about his technical experience in building filmmaker-community partnerships, training community leaders, advice about video equipment, tips on collaborative post-production, and film distribution. Anthony was the captain of the AudioVisual Club in high school.
